Die Alone Reviews

Almost a year after the release of Die Alone in late fall 2024, I'm happy to see so much positive critical reception. The flim currently sits at 80% positive on Rotten Tomatoes. One review recently commented:  “Accompanied by an intense score by Todd Bryanton, the film's atmosphere keeps viewers on edge from start to finish.”

We Were Broncos

I worked as music composer for all 6 episodes of We Were Broncos, a documentary TV series airing on AMI that chronicles the adaptive sports journey of Ryan Straschnitzki. Ryan was paralyzed from the chest down due to the tragic Humboldt Broncos bus crash in 2018, and the series follows his transition from hockey to wheelchair basketball as he trains with the goal of making the 2028 Canadian Paralympic team. The series was written and directed by Lucas Frison; it was a great experience working with Lucas and the whole team at Prairiecat Productions.

Die Alone

I served as composer and music supervisor on the Minds Eye post-apocalyptic romantic horror film Die Alone, starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Frank Grillo, written and directed by Lowell Dean. I knew this script was over a decade in the making for Lowell and it was an honour to get the chance to work with him again and be entrusted with his vision.

The film received a national theatrical release in Canada; it was an amazing experience getting go see the film with friends and family and hear from people across Canada who saw it. I've been thrilled with the positive critical reception. Carrie-Anne Moss received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Performance in a Leading Role. As of June 2025 Die Alone has an 80% Rotten Tomatoes rating. The film has also been reaching new fans on streaming, reaching Amazon Prime Top 10 Movies in the US and Spain so far for 7 days each.

Die Alone features additional music and guitar from my good friend Shayne Hawken; we had played together for many years in the band Room 333 and it was a great experience getting to work with him on this.

Dangerous

I composed the music for Dangerous, a Minds Eye action-thriller directed by David Hackl (Saw 5, Daughter of the Wolf) and distributed by Lionsgate, starring Scott Eastwood and Mel Gibson. Had a blast working on this; a nice mix of action setpieces, dramatic character work and subtle humour. Dangerous reached the Netflix Top 10 Movies charts in 20+ countries and the Amazon Prime Top 10 Movies Charts in 15+ countries.

Beyblade Burst

I was very excited to get the opportunity to score 26 episodes of the anime series Beyblade Burst Surge, which aired on CoroCoro Channel in Japan and Disney XD in the US. In addition to serving as primary composer for that season, my score can also be heard as additional music in the following seasons Beyblade Burst QuadDrive and Beyblade Burst QuadStrike.

Endless OST

The Original Soundtrack album for Endless is now available through Lakeshore Records, featuring score by myself and Nik Freitas:

Endless

I recently co-composed the original score for the romantic drama Endless along with Nik Freitas. The movie was released on VOD by Quiver Distribution on August 14, 2020. Check out the trailer below:

I'm happy to see the score has received some positive critical mentions. In a review for Every Movie Has a Lesson, Don Shanahan says: "An excellent vibe [...] comes from the music of Todd Bryanton and Nik Freitas." Dan Bayer of NextBestPicture states, "The music – both the needle drops and the score by Todd Bryanton and Nik Freitas – is well-used." The original soundtrack album is set for release this August via Lakeshore Records.
